Karla and Abbi lead Doggie Business LLC with a commitment to providing dependable and personalized pet care. Their leadership helps guide the business while maintaining the family-focused approach that has been part of Doggie Business since 2006.

Owner & Founder

Karla grew up on a farm outside Holmen, WI, surrounded by animals, and developed a lifelong passion for their care. After more than 30 years of management experience, she founded Doggie Business in 2006 with a big vision and a determination to build something of her own.


What began as a small operation has grown to include daycare, boarding, grooming, training, a pet boutique, and Invisible Fence Brand services.


Karla's family has always been an important part of the business, and she is proud to work alongside her daughter, Abbi, and a team that has become family over the years.


Outside of Doggie Business, Karla enjoys kayaking, riding UTV trails, and spending time with her husband, Peter; family; and friends.

Abbi

Co-Owner & Dog Trainer

Abbi grew up around Doggie Business and has been part of the business since she was young. Her passion for dogs led her to compete in AKC conformation across the country and attend the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers.


As a trainer, Abbi believes training is about building a partnership between dogs and their owners. She focuses on giving families the knowledge, consistency, and confidence they need to create lasting results.


Abbi is proud to continue her mother's vision while helping families build stronger relationships with their dogs.

Leadership

Tracy serves as general manager, while Jordan works as a pet care coach. Together, the leadership team helps support daily operations, team development, and quality care for the pets entrusted to us.

Tracy

Tracy has been part of Doggie Business since 2012 and has more than 25 years of experience in customer service and project management. She enjoys working around dogs, bringing her own dogs, Po and Bindi, to work, and helping create a welcoming experience for clients and their pets. Outside of work, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, hiking, and reading.

Client Experience & Operations Team

Meet the friendly faces and helping hands behind Doggie Business! Our team includes our Concierge, Marketing Interns, and Operations Interns, who work together to keep things running smoothly. From welcoming clients and creating engaging content to assisting with daily operations, improving processes, and supporting our staff, this team plays an important role in creating a positive experience for both our two-legged and four-legged clients!

Kayleigh

Hi! I’m Kayleigh. I’ve been at Doggie Business since May 2025, and I recently graduated from UWL in May with a degree in International Business and Marketing. I enjoy meeting clients, working with my coworkers, and getting to know all of the dogs. When I’m not at work, you can usually find me spending time with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, or traveling.

Katie

Hi! I’m Katie, the marketing intern from Mukwonago, Wisconsin, and a junior at UWL studying marketing. I love dogs, staying active, and getting creative. Outside of work, you can usually find me running, crafting, or stopping to pet every dog I see.

Training Team

Our training team includes Abbi, Jasmine, and the Rats. Our certified professional trainers help dogs and their owners develop practical skills, improve communication, and create stronger relationships through training.

Jasmine

Jasmine is a certified dog trainer who enjoys helping families strengthen their relationships with their dogs. She works with dogs in our training programs and enjoys helping clients develop practical skills and stronger communication with their pets.


At home, Jasmine has two dogs, Loki and Velvet, and a cat named Nebula

Groomers

Our talented Grooming Team helps keep your pets looking, feeling, and smelling their best! From baths, haircuts, nail trims, and deshedding treatments to personalized grooming care, our groomers work to make every visit a positive experience.

Our groomers are categorized into three experience-based levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Master Groomers. These levels reflect their experience, skill development, and ability to work with different breeds, coat types, and grooming needs. Pricing varies based on the groomer's level and the services provided.

Pet Care Support Team

Jordan, Zach, and Alana provide additional support for our pet care operations. Their work helps our team maintain an organized, consistent, and positive environment for both pets and their families.

Zach

Hi, I’m Zach! I love working at Doggie Business and spending time with dogs. I enjoy wolves, hanging out with my niece, and making apple crates with my dad in the summer. Being around animals every day makes this job so rewarding.

Jordan

Hi, I’m Jordan! I’ve loved animals since I was a kid. I enjoy Legos, trains, video games, and James Bond. I have a younger brother, Austin, and sister-in-law, Savannah, and love traveling. Working at Doggie Business has helped me grow in talking to others and advocating for myself.

Invisible Fence Brand Team

Karla, Tracy, and Allen represent our Invisible Fence Brand services. This additional area of expertise allows Doggie Business to provide families with another resource for their pets' safety and outdoor needs.

Invisible Fence Technician & Trainer


Allen is part of the Doggie Business family and works as an invisible fence technician and trainer. He enjoys working outdoors and helping to improve the quality of life for dogs and their families.


Outside of work, Allen enjoys science fiction and spending time with his son, Thorin, his cat Felix, and his dog Finnian.
